I am trying to organize a Brine Shrimp Direct group buy. They have everything you need to feed your fish frozen food, flake food, freeze dried food, brine shrimp eggs, golden pearls, etc. They seem to be excited about working with us. Check out their website, https://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/, and see what you are interested in. The pricing on the site will give you an idea of what the cost will be, but we will get a discount. If there is something you don't see let me know and I will ask. On many things they have larger packs not on the site. They have larger packs they make for Zoos and hatcheries that are not on their retail site. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I’m in for sure. Need a pound of eggs and some frozen food if the timing works.

@janolson The timing is the thing. I don't want to bother with a small order it's not worth my time. I only want to do a big order with lots of participation. The good news is they have about every type of food.

I would be willing to order $125 in flake and $58+ in pellet foods. These are foods I would like to try. I would order frozen mix and match cubes. I don't have to have it all at once. I could split it so we can maybe get some people at the meeting to order something.

Maybe this could be something we could do several times a year if enough people would get on board with.

That is/was my hope, but I know some members sell food at the auctions and swaps and I don't want to sabotage them, or should I not be concerned about that.

I think most of those sales go to people outside of club members. I am interested in finding a better quality pellet food that doesn't make such a mess and leaves less of a residue. I am interested in the cool cook process flake food. I know it works in cat food to make a better nutritional food. I have used golden pearls for years. If there are concerns from those who sell food at the auction, we could wait until after an auction to make a club purchase. I am in regardless.

After talking to Victoria at Brine Shrimp Direct, I think it makes sense for our order to arrive for the swap on August 12th, so I need your orders by August 2 to have the highest fill rate.

Please send your orders and finance@kcfishclub.org.

if anyone is looking for Spirulina and Kelp Flake it has been discontinued and replaced with Cool Green. I also know the hatch rates of the different brine shrimp eggs are hard to find so here they are premium 90%, grade A 80%, economy 75%, grade C 65%.

Let me know if you have more questions

Maybe this will be easier to read. If anyone is looking for Spirulina and Kelp Flake it has been discontinued and replaced with Cool Green Flake.
