How long do people introduce the female before releasing her to the males. Is it normal for the female to chase the male while he is showing off? My male isn’t really flaring his gills at her just showing his colors and doing the dance. She flared at first but stopped. But she would chase him around while he is showing as he swims away from her.

I usually leave female separated by glass but in tank for about 12 hours usually overnight. Hadn’t really had any experiences where female is the aggressor like you are describing.
