This is my newest tank, its only been up since late August. I started with a 29 gallon in my office, but always knew I wanted something bigger and wider. I got the 60 gallon used and resealed it, cost about $175 for the tank and supplies to reseal. I would have bought new, but this tank size was a little hard to find. Its 36" long, 26" tall, and 18" wide. My office space only allowed for about 43" of length, and I wanted an 18" or wider side viewing panel b/c that is the direction I see from my desk. This tank currently has 10 adolphi corydora, 1 scalare angelfish, 4 forktail rainbowfish, 2 turqouise rainbowfish, a bosemani rainbow, a blue phantom pleco and a handful of nerite and mystery snails. My stand is a purchase from Aquariums wholesale. They had several unfinished tanks a local person makes for them. I think I paid around $300 but its far nicer than a lot of the premade/big box store ones. I finished it myself in a color I wanted for my office. My mechanical filtration is a Tidal 75, and to be honest its not quite doing the job I need to, I'm going to have to add something. I also have a 30 gallon sponge filter going. I prefer running a tank with a HOB and a sponge filter, I have not tried any canister or sump filters yet. My lights are all hygger lights. When I upgraded to this tank I bought the largest hygger planted aquarium light I could, it came with a remote, 42 watts. While I like the remote feature, the light strength wasn't as good as a previous hygger light model #957. Also, with wider tanks its harder to light everywhere with one light. So I used the previous light in the back and the new light up front. I may end up switching them around. Hygger lights IMO are decent entry/mid level lights, they have worked well just not as consistently between models. Sometimes their features are hard to use. I use several on smaller tanks, 29 and under, and they are all excellent there. My air pump is an Aquarium co op battery back up pump. If the electricity goes off it will continue to run for several hours. My current sponge filter is also an aquarium co op filter but I don't really like it, its a course sponge and I prefer the finer sponges. My tank lid is a H2Pro 2 section tempered glass lid. I tried a solid bifold lid on top and it just didn't work with my lights sitting on top. I may end up doing a hanging light if I could get one with enough power. I did have to alter it b/c my filter is on the side vs the back of my tank. Mess up in set up. I think that's it for equipment that runs this tank!
