Is there anyone in this group that breeds oscars or do you know someone who does? I have been having trouble finding oscars bigger than 2-3 inches and most of the ones in local stores are tiger and albino. I am looking in the 4-7 inch range and some of the less common types.

TIA

I don’t breed Oscars, but I do have one that is about 8 to 9 inches and needs a new home. I have moved recently and the new home does not support the tank large enough for him. If you know anyone who would like an Oscar with a ton of personality. He needs a home.

@teachrfishr can you post a picture of the fish and let me know what type of Oscar he is and where you are located and I can see if anyone I know would want to grab him from you.

He’s a typical tiger Oscar, and he has a huge personality. He’s currently in the Lees Summit area. I say he, but that’s not a certainty.

@teachrfishr thank you for sending that, I will see if anyone I know would be interested in giving him a new home. Just to confirm are you wanting money for him or are you just good as long as he gets in good home?

I really just want to know that he’s in a good home. The tank, filter and everything come with him but I cannot transport him. There are two goldfish that he never would eat(only time I tried) that have grown and are also in the tank but are obviously smaller.

@teachrfishr OK, that changes things a little bit. I didn’t realize that the tank and filter and everything come with him. How big is the tank that you have them in?

110 gal. Nobody has to take the tank if they don’t want it, but I thought it might be more of an incentive to give him some space.

OK, I think I understand now. You have the Oscar in 110 gallon aquarium in Lee Summit currently and the Oscar is doing fine but you moved and where you moved you don’t have space for the 110 gallon aquarium. Am I understanding everything correctly?

If you want my help finding someone, shoot me an email at jroberts382@sbcglobal.net it will be easier to communicate that way vs going back and forth on this thread.

@teachrfishr I live in Lee's Summit and have room to house the oscar. Also would be interested in the aquarium. I had sent a private message which you can check out should be a bell in the top right corner.
