Never done CO2 before but thinking about giving it a try. Any thoughts on where to get tank locally. I live on north side.

New to the group here. Recently broke down my tank. I have a praxair 5lb CO2 tank with probably 3 lbs of gas left if you want to pawn it off me. I also have a bunch of other stuff...CO2 regulator with solenoid, tubing, etc. I'm near Zona Rosa.

Wait a second, I graduated from UGA. From Camilla. My picture is Bobby Cox getting tossed. (most all time in MLB history, btw)

Any chance this is still hanging out?

I'm about to run errands but text 816-898-6004.

I have plants that could use the co2 injection.

I bought a busted up 5lb used tank off a welder off Craigslist. Traded it in for $25 at praxair. That’s always an option. People on Reddit/plantedtank sell regulator set ups, boom all good for a couple hundrwd

I have a couple old co2 tanks from soda machines, do they need to be hydro tested before they trade them or does it matter?

I’m looking into getting started with CO2, but I don’t know much outside of needing a tank, regulator, and diffuser. Is anyone around here looking to sell a setup?
Edit: found someone on facebook getting out of the hobby. Any recommendations for places to refill a tank?

MH Gas in Indepence has been reliable, they close at around 4 which makes it a bit difficult to get to if you work during those hours (I do and I have to take a day off to get there in time). I think I pay $30 to refill a 5lb tank, they exchange tanks, so if the tank you have is newer, you'll be given a used one.

I used Praxair in NKC, depending on where you're at.

I don't remember spending that much with a 20 pound, but I haven't had to fill mine in several years, prices are probably much different.

Worth calling around, home brew places sometimes will exchange them as well.

Good luck!
