Reguardless of how you feel about the store, it is sad to have another LFS close.
Brothers Pets

After serving the Kansas City Metro for 47 years, Brothers Fish and Pets is closing its doors on October 30, 2019.
On September 6th, we will begin our Going Out of Business sale. Almost everything in the store will be 10 - 35% off the regularly marked price. The main exceptions being Aquariums, (though combo setups are on sale), Dog and cat foods and selected dog treats, feeder mice, rats, goldfish, and feeder bugs.
All fixtures and shelving will also be for sale, so if there is something that has been catching your eye, now is the time to get it.
If you are a member of our Grub Club Program, all credits must be used by October 29th. All gift cards and store credits must be redeemed by that date as well.
On behalf of the staff, I would like to say that it has been an honor and privilege to serve the community over the years. We have made a great many friends over the years and will miss seeing you on a regular basis after the store closes.

Walter, thanks for sharing. This is so sad that Brother's is closing the doors. I have so many memories of when they were at the mall. I am going to look thru some old HAAS newsletters and try to post some pics of their old ads. I also have some old pics of Rick out in front of the store with Ian Fuller. Lots of memories:(

It is always sad when a locally owned store goes out. I used to sell them a good amount of fish

I read today that Sherri's Pet Emporium in Belton is also liquidating there store. Up to 40% off right now.
