I apologize in advance if this is a bother. I am just trying to become an aquarist for about the 3rd or 4th time and I realized asking other people questions is good idea. What is this that happens on the 8th? Just a formality or does someone actually want to talk about a new planted tank that I rescued from my evil work and have put effort into with decent results. Only experience could make them better, IMO. Thanks.

Tentatively, we are planning a misc discussion on lots of various topics. We will talk about plans for 2022. Auctions vs. Swaps. Hopefully provide some education on the website. It will be guided by what you want to chat about. Pretty casual but mostly we want to talk about the direction the club is going. Hope you can make it to add your two cents!

Unaccepatable! I demand order.

I'm just kidding. I can't even spell unacceptable correctly. But I have a couple of projects and like people with hobbies the learning is in the meeting and the chatting and experience that you do not have.

My 2 p.

I would like to come, but the locale is where and when exactly? The church off of Barry Rd? Time? Do you provide fish shaped hors' do vours? Deviled ham will do in a pinch.

Hahahaaa. Thanks.

Info welcome.

I have entered a tentative plant list from FAN for the Feb meeting on the mygroupauctions site. I will not know exactly what we are getting until I unpack it the night before, but the last 2 donations have been very similar. You can get on the Fan site and research the plants you think you like.

Hey Mike, how do the collection days usually go? How far do you guys travel?

Well, each time is a little different. It will really depend alot on who is going and how far they are willing to travel. I like to travel a little south to some gravel bottomed streams with nice clear water. That makes for a lot of fun collecting. We may split it up with 2 or possible 3 locations to get a little variety. Maybe a close spot in the KC area and then a second around Southern Missouri. But nothing has be firmed up as of yet. I'll probably have some discussions with everyone in early February to start planning it out.

Does anyone have any ideas for speakers that you want me to investigate bringing in to speak at a meeting? Let me know

Jeff, I just watched a Zoom presentation from the OCA by Rick Borstein called "60 More Tips in 60 Minutes." It was a great talk with lots of out of the box ideas for fish rooms. Also I'd love any talks about Apistos or Corydoras.

Jan, do you know any Cory people?

The best Cory talk I’ve seen is by Eric Bodrock. Rob Maclure talked at Cataclysm and his talk was excellent. I saw the same talk on a Zoom meeting for the Eastern Iowa group. I don’t know anyone locally but Mikey might.
